Doug Goodhall
I was born in Wellington and currently live in Blenheim.
As an NZCE aeronutical qualified engineer and commercial pilot I have spent a good deal of my working life in the aircraft industry experience in the capacity of inspector, technician, pilot and as design team member on the A4 skyhawk upgrade project for the RNZAF.
There are many factors that spark an inspiration for any creation, for me, one especially is the study of the evolutionary process of biological form and human machinery.
In their own way they both need to respond to diverse and shifting environmental influences by applying available means to survive.
What results is functional and often aesthetically pleasing results or "if it looks good it will probably work".
This is the core driver of my work.
